What are our aims? We are a group of ordinary people
who believe Jesus Christ has called us to follow him in the ordinary
routine of our daily lives. As part of following him we are people
who:
Meet
together for worship. Each Sunday there is a service at 10.30 a.m. and 6.00
p.m. Junior Church meets at 10.30 a.m. and is for young people
aged 3 to 18 years.
Meet
together to learn We love to meet together and talk about things we believe
or find difficult to believe. We do this in Bible study and
Fellowship groups, in church or in homes, in the day or in the
evening. The aim is to learn more about what it means to follow
Jesus Christ.
Are
ready to care and to be challenged We want to play our part in
caring for people in our church and community. We also want to
challenge injustices locally and globally by supporting
organisations that are trying to bring people a better
deal.
Think it's worthwhile to encourage others to follow
Jesus Christ We try to live our lives as we believe Jesus Christ lived
his life. We often fail, of course! However, we believe the way of
Jesus Christ, though not easy, is the most worthwhile way to live
our life.
I hope this has given you a
flavour of what we're about. For all of us, life is a journey.
Audley Methodists explore that journey through the eyes of Jesus
Christ. As you read this website, particularly the events
and notices
pages, I hope you'll find something at our church that is for you.
